Background Ferdinand received his Primary Education at Ekwuoma Primary school, Abavo between1981-1986 and later did another primary school leaving certificate examination in same school in 2001, as a result of loss of the first certificate. Secondary education acquisition was in Mixed secondary school, Abavo (1993) and further quests for higher education took me to College of Education, Agbor between 1994-1997, studying English/Social studies and thereafter, read Political science (B. Sc) at Delta state University, Abraka (2004). I obtained my M.Sc Public Administration from the department of Political science and Public Administration, Benson Idahosa University, Benin in 2014. As a College student, I was elected Secretary and President of Student’s Union Government (SUG) 1995/1996 and 1996/1997 Academic sessions respectively and on graduation, was also elected Honourable Councillor (legislator), ward 12, Ika South local Gov’t Area 1999-2002 where I was equally elected Deputy Speaker/Leader. While there, I served as Member, House Committee on Project Monitoring; Chairman, House Committee on Works as well as Education. On appointment as staff of the defunct College of Education in August, 2005, I was drafted Students’ Affairs Office, 2005-2006, Assistant Registrar, Examinations And Records, 2006-2017, where I headed several Units like Voc/Tech, Part Time services, Arts & Social sciences Division, NCE certificate production etc. Between 2007-May 2011, I was elected to serve as Treasurer of Non Academic Staff Union (NASU) and in May 2011, won the seat of Chairman and served two tenure till May, 2019. Ferdinand became Assistant Public Relations Officer of the College in 2017 -2019 and was confirmed substantive Information, Public Relations & Protocol Officer (PRO) of the College in 2018 till the College was upgraded to a University in 2021. On upgrading the College to University, I was appointed pioneer Information, Public Relations and Protocol Officer till April 12, 2022. Other services rendered/positions held include: • Member, Appointment and promotion committee (2011–2021). • Member, staff welfare committee (2011-2022). • Member, College committee on special projects and infrastructural development (2016 – 2021) • Member, Federal Government Needs Assessment Team to College of Education (2012) • Member, Junior Staff Disciplinary Committee 2011-2019 • Elected Congregation Representative to College Academic Board (2020-2021 • Elected Congregation Representative TO University Governing Council, University of Delta, Agbor, (2022- till date) • Member, University Governing Council Appointment and Promotions Committee (April 2022- till date)
